WaitScout Wait Index, week of Sep 11 to 17, 2026. Data through September 17, 2026. Updated nightly after park close, Eastern Time. By WaitScout Data Team.
104.9
Down from 109.3 the week before
Sep 4 to 10 averaged 109.3. Sep 11 to 17 averaged 104.9.
The index compares waits with each park’s own normal. 100 is a normal day at that park over the previous 28 days. 80 means waits ran about 20% shorter than normal.
Animal Kingdom
32.8 min mean posted wait
Week before: 109.7
Hollywood Studios
33.7 min mean posted wait
Week before: 109.1
EPCOT
29.8 min mean posted wait
Week before: 113.7
Magic Kingdom
20.3 min mean posted wait
Week before: 104.6
Minutes: the mean posted wait across the park’s tracked rides, not the headliner wait. It is the average of the daily values for Sep 11 to 17.
Bars: scale runs from 0 to 200. The dark tick marks 100, a normal day for that park.
Mean Wait Index by day of the week since June 25, 2026. Lower is lighter. A day is named busiest or calmest only where the gap is wider than twice its standard error.
| Park | Mon | Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat | Sun |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Animal Kingdom | 106.8 | 92.2 | 84.0 calmest | 86.0 | 103.6 | 108.3 busiest | 103.3 |

Each number is the park’s mean index on that day of the week, across 12 weeks. Past pattern, not a promise.
Median posted wait for each half hour of regular park hours since June 25, 2026. Times are the start of the window, Eastern Time. A window is ranked only with at least 200 ride-day readings.
8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Tall bars are longer waits.
Lightest: 6:30 pm (15 min), 8:00 am (18 min), 5:30 pm (20 min)
Heaviest: 11:00 am (45 min), 11:30 am (45 min), 12:00 pm (42 min)
Share of the tracked time each pass was marked unavailable in the booking feed, across about 105 days from Jun 5.
Share of status checks during open hours when the ride was not running, August 2026 and September 2026 (month to date) pooled. It includes refurbishments. 42 rides had at least 500 checks in both months.

Records are single days, and single days are noisy, so use them as markers, not forecasts.
For reporters, researchers and anyone citing the index. By WaitScout Data Team.
The Wait Index compares posted ride waits at the four Walt Disney World theme parks with each park’s own recent normal. 100 is that park’s average over the previous 28 days. Walt Disney World is our own average of the four parks, not a Disney figure.
Every half hour a park is open, we take each ride’s median posted wait and average across a fixed basket of 46 rides. The index is that average divided by the park’s average over the previous 28 days, times 100, and needs at least 20 valid days of history. Shows, dining, character meets and hours the park is closed are left out. Scoring starts June 25, 2026; the first day of the feed had too few readings and is not scored.
Posted waits are what the parks publish, not time spent in line. Single days swing a lot, so quote weeks. Our data starts June 2, 2026, so there is no year-over-year comparison, and autumn values sit high against a summer baseline.
We check the index only against our own crowd estimate, which is built from the same posted waits. The two rank days alike (rank correlation 0.71 to 0.88 across the four parks), but that shows the index is consistent with our other figure. It is not an independent crowd count, and we have not shown that it tracks real crowds.

Single days swing a lot, so a one-day move of 30 or more index points is ordinary. Read weeks, not days. Walt Disney World smooths some of that noise but not all of it. This describes the recent past only; it does not predict your dates.

The booking feed records a row each time a price or availability changes. Each row is assumed to hold until the next change. We call it unavailable because the feed does not say whether that means no passes were left, the pass was closed or it was not for sale.
